“I wanted to personally check if what I saw on paper was real and, together with secretary of state on emergency affairs, Raed Arafat, we have inspected both the ERs of several county hospitals and intensive care and neonatology wings. We have found quite a few irregularities that should not be there, especially since no special situations occur these days. Next week, we will present a full report on the situation in the field and on the measures to be taken,” Bazac said.

The Health Minister’s office announced Friday that Bazac will “personally check” the status of emergency rooms at county hospitals during the first week of his mandate.

Bazac said one of the main goals during his mandate will be upgrading the emergency response system in hospitals nationwide.
