Drug Dealers Allegedly Funding PKK, Busted In Romania

Three members of an international group of drug dealers, who supposedly financed the PKK, were arrested for 29 days for helping with the transport of 58 kilograms of heroin.

Turkish citizens Tunkay Er and Mehmet Coksirin and Sirian citizen Ismail Moahmed Adnan – residents in Romania – are accused of accessory in the organization, management and financing international drug dealing, the General Prosecutors’ Office announced.
 
Investigators established that in June-December 2007, the three committed several criminal deeds, among which assisting a transport of 58 kilograms of heroin from Turkey to the Netherlands. The drugs were seized on the morning of December 14, 2007, at the border between Turkey and Bulgaria.
