Romanian Footballer Mutu Drops Appeal Against Suspension

Mutu’s Attorney, Francesco Rodello, said the suspension will expire at the end of October and the Court of Arbitration can not issue a ruling on the appeal before that time.

The Italian Olympic Committee’s antidoping tribunal on April 19 ruled to suspend Romanian footballer Adrian Mutu for nine months after he tested positive for banned sibutramine at an antidoping test taken on January 10, 2010.
