"The National Liberal Party and Romania grew up together,” Tariceanu said and went on counting the achievements of the government he led for the past four years.
He said his government created 600,000 new jobs, more than the entire number of new jobs created between 1990 and 2004.
Tariceanu added liberals are determined to continue reforms they started while in the government.
The Liberal Party came in third in voters’ preferences in the parliamentary elections held Sunday, according to exit polls released by Insomar and CCSB.
