Bucharest Citizens To Watch UEFA Euro 2008 Matches On Giant Screens

Bucharest mayoralty, the Romanian Football Federation (FRF) and the Committee Organizing the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship will mount giant screens in Bucharest’s Constitutiei and George Enescu Squares for football fans to enjoy the UEFA Euro 2008 matches.

The program "Public Viewing – the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship" will be conducted during June 7 – 29, between 11:00 and 23:00 local time.
 
FRF president, Mircea Sandu, hopes 20,000 football fans will attend the events organized in the two squares throughout the Euro 2008.  
 
Bucharest deputy mayor, Ionut Popa, said subway company Metrorex would extend working hours during this period, while means of public transport would be supplemented.
