Romanian Labor Min Reminds Employers Of Advantages To Hiring Unemployed People

Boc said there were 493,438 people registered as unemployed in April. By mid-May, their number was 478,666 and the unemployment rate had dropped from 5.4% to 5.25%.

The minister reminded that employers who hire jobless people over 45 years of age, or people three years from retirement, or people with disabilities can receive a 500 lei (EUR121) subsidy for one year.

Employers who hire university graduates can receive a RON750 lei subsidy, or RON600 for hiring a high school graduate, or RON500 for hiring a secondary school graduate.
