Romanian Govt To Finish Draft Laws On Decentralization By May 4 – PM

Romanian government will finalize the draft laws on decentralization of the public administration by May 4, Prime Minister Emil Boc said Saturday.

The Cabinet held a meeting Saturday to discuss the draft acts regarding decentralization of public administration and amending the laws on public procurement.
 
Last week, Boc asked the Cabinet to present the schedule to approve required legislation in view of decentralizing activities in education, healthcare and administration, including local Police.
 
He said the government will draw up three draft laws regarding decentralization in education, healthcare and local police structures, mentioning the drafts in the administration sector will be completed within 60 days.
