Employees will be financially liable for damage caused by them during the course of their work, but not for damage caused by force majeure or other unforeseen, unavoidable events, or the work’s inherent risk, says the amended Labor Code.
The Government has approved only eight amendments to the Labor Code out of the 144 proposed by the ruling coalition’s MPs. It will seek a confidence vote in Parliament to adopt the Labor Code on Tuesday, March 8.
The Social Democratic Party, in opposition, has announced it will file a motion of no-confidence and call in the Constitutional Court.
