The plant tried to resume production as of Monday morning, but equipments would not start, due to temperatures lower than 15 Celsius degrees, the plant’s officials said.
In October 2008, ArcelorMittal Hunedoara halted production for two months due to the international financial crisis, and its 1,200 employees were put on technical unemployment. Mid-January, employees went back to work.
