An APB was put out by Greek authorities in the name of the man’s accomplice.
According to case files, the Romanian man and the woman wanted by police kidnapped two Romanian women, aged 20 and 27, in an apartment in Chania.
The two injected the 27-year old woman in the stomach with a drug that caused her to produce more ovules, which were later sold for sums between EUR600 and EUR2,000. the other girl was subject to several tests meant to reveal if she received the same treatment.
Police officers are looking into the possibility that the suspects had other accomplices as well.
A gynecologist told ANA-MPA reporters that ovule extraction is an extremely sensitive procedure and it can only be performed through paracentesis.
