Marko added he voted for a stable government backed by a transparent parliamentary majority, for a prime minister like Sibiu mayor Klaus Iohannis, for understanding and reconciliation among people.

Asked to comment on the possibility of teaming up with the democrat liberals if Traian Basescu is reelected, Marko refrained from any speculations on the subject.

About 18 million Romanian eligible voters are expected to cast ballots Sunday to elect their president for the next five years and will choose between incumbent President Traian Basescu and social democrat Mircea Geoana.
