Nica said the base has been set and the principles established for the manner in which local public administration will be decentralized, and norms have been established for mayoralty staff.
Nica said the Government cannot impose the automatic reduction in the number of public servants, but it can stop allotting funds for investments if a mayor decides to keep the mayoralty’s staff in numbers above the norm.
He added concrete data will be presented after talks within the Government Coalition. Later, the law package reforming the administrative system will be developed and subject to Government approval.
