The funds, used for the thermal rehabilitation of public buildings and the upgrade of heating units, were reduced because of the financial crisis, according to the document.

The government decided Wednesday to reduce the funds allotted to local authorities, for thermal rehabilitation, to just RON11.7 million, compared to the RON40 million financing established late-2008.

It also slashed financing for 2009 to RON22.3 million, from previously set RON32.9 million.
