The new hall will be built near the National Arena football stadium, with costs estimated to reach a total of RON138 million.
“We will have a multi-purpose hall, a multi-functional hall, after the odyssey this project went through. We have technical-economic indicators for a capacity of 20,000 seats, with five sports courts. The costs cannot be compared to other halls around the country. (…) We will have a hall which we can be proud with,” Bucharest Mayor Gabriela Firea said during Monday’s council meeting.
The Polyvalent Hall is currently the biggest multi-purpose events hall in Bucharest, with a capacity of only 5.300.
