Romanian Parliament Administration Committees OK 2012 Tourism, Regional Development Budget

The Romanian Parliament’s public administration committees on Monday approved the 2012 draft budget of the Ministry of Tourism and Regional Development, of 3.45 billion lei (about EUR793 million).

The ministry’s first draft budget for next year stated funds of RON3.1 billion. The Government decided at the end of November to increase the institution’s budget to RON3.45 billion.

In 2011, the ministry was allotted RON3.44 billion.

On Monday, the Parliament’s committees debate and vote on the ministries’ proposed 2012 budgets. The draft state budget for next year will be debated in a plenary meeting scheduled for December 12.
