The net salary in April increased compared with March when employees were given Easter holiday bonuses and incentives, and when a higher output was reported, as well as following the enforcement of government decision provisions on increasing the wages of the public servants, and of the staff in the education and sanitary departments. The employees in the tobacco manufacturing products, hotels and restaurants saw no salary hikes.
Brokers, except for insurances and pension departments, saw the biggest average net salaries of RON3.760, while employees in the wood processing industry, except for furniture making, were at the opposite pole with RON697.
April net average salary in agriculture was up 4.2% on the month to RON875.
Net salaries in the industrial field averaged RON1.212 in April, up 11.3% from March salary.
The average net salary in Romania rose 24.8% on year in April.
