Romania To Increase Personnel Expenses In Intelligence Services, Defense Ministry

Romania's Government will increase the budgets of the intelligence services and Interior, Defense and Justice ministries by almost 724 million lei (over EUR170 million), for personnel expenses, according to the draft budget revision.

The document, obtained by MEDIAFAX, says personnel expenses will be increased by 723.9 million, via redistribution from the global funds provided by the budget of the Finance Ministry, to the following institutions:
– Justice Ministry: RON10 million;
– Defense Ministry: RON227 million;
– Interior Ministry: RON344 million, including RON94 million for a population census;
– Romanian Intelligence Service: RON38.5 million
– Foreign Intelligence Service: RON5 million;
– Protection and Guard Service (SPP): RON3 million;
– Special Telecommunications Service: RON6.4 million;
– National Prison Administration: RON78 million;
– Court of Accounts: RON10 million;
– National Anti-Discrimination Council: RON0.1 million.
