When asked about the structure of the new Government, the head of state said more important is to have the new executive come into action, as Romania is heading into a time of crisis.
Regarding the government negotiations, Basescu said, answering a question from reporters, that the Democratic Liberal Party has a moral obligation towards the Hungarian party, as the party led by Marko Bela was the first to show will to enter Government in collaboration with the democrat liberals.
Basescu added he talked with Prime Minister Calin Tariceanu the matters included on the agenda of the European Council, internal affairs related to the economic crisis and political issues.
He said there had been no talk of reviving the Alliance D.A. (formed of the National Liberal Party and the Democratic Liberal Party –e.n.) for the new Government.
