Boc added the money will go into the completion of city beltways, national roads and the Transylvania Highway.

"We have over EUR100 million to complete certain works. Our goal is to finish infrastructure works this year and not continue to leave works unfinished,” Boc said.

The prime minister said this year will see the completion of 42 kilometers of the Transylvania Highway, the beltway around Cluj-Napoca, that of Gherla, Timisoara and Ploiesti, the roads connecting Cluj to Bistrita, Cluj to Suceava and Arad to Lugoj and the Baneasa passageway in capital city Bucharest.

"These are works we will finish. (…) You have to finance what you can finish and start other works when you are done. You don’t start three works and stop financing them and then watch them degrade,” Boc said.

He gave assurance the government can finish the infrastructure works he mentioned until the end of 2009.
