“The Transport Ministry had talks with the unionists, but as far as I know, their requests are not related to salaries, but to reforms within the railway sector. I agree that these reforms need to be implemented, but going on strike is not the best solution,” Vosganian added.
Railway traffic will be halted Friday between 7.00 and 13.00 local time, as the unionists and the representatives of the infrastructure and passengers division of state owned railway company CFR did not reach any agreement.
Unionists threaten to go on strike for an unlimited period, as the two divisions could not guarantee their budgets would be approved.
