French Foreign Affairs Min Asks Romanian Help In Chad

Romanian foreign affairs minister Adrian Cioroianu met with French counterpart Bernard Kouchner, who asked for Romanian support for the international mission in Chad, with troops and material. The request will be analyzed by the Romanian Administration, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry, the two had, within the Ministry Council of the OSCE, an exchange of views regarding international actuality files, the main topics being the EU stance in Kosovo, the situation in Chad and the EU commitments regarding this country.
 
The head of French diplomacy requested the support of our country for the international mission in the area, with troops as well as material, and the request will be analyzed in Bucharest, the Ministry said.
 
Within the same Council, Cioroianu also met with his counterparts in Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Sweden.
