Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc on Saturday said he will have talks with the banks’ representatives to ask them to hasten the deadline for responding to companies’ request for loans.

Romanian business people ask authorities to lease projects of national importance which cannot be funded by the state to private companies, and at the same time come up with arguments why the Government does not resort to international funding institutions to salvage the economy.

The Romanian Businesspeople Association (AOAR) suggests authorities to enable 5% VAT reduction for buying the first house, a minimum 100% increase of the volume of road infrastructure works, financial insurance and stimulatory payment for work force, to alleviate the impact of the economic crisis.
