Around 150 people took part Saturday in a “march for normalcy,” organized by Romanian far-right organization Noua Dreapta in protest to the annual gay pride parade GayFest, scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. local time in Bucharest.

Romanian far right Greater Romanian Party leader, Corneliu Vadim Tudor, thanked voters Sunday evening after exit polls showed his party got two seats in the EU Parliament.

Romania should hold general elections in spring 2009 along with elections for the European Parliament, said Gheorghe Funar, secretary general of Romania’s far-right Greater Romania Party, or PRM.
