Romanian Health Minister Sorina Pintea said on Thursday that acinetobacter infections could not be blamed for three deaths within the last two weeks at a Bucharest pulmonology institute, as the victims were suffering from multiple conditions and doctors were reserved regarding their suvival chances.

Two patients hospitalized at the “Marius Nasta” Pulmonology and Phtisiology Institute in Bucharest died this week due to nosocomial infection with an antibiotic-resistant bacteria, while three others were also diagnosed with the infection, two of which are in serious condition.
