Education minister, Monica Anisie, has made the decision, on Monday, to suspend all school contests and sports competitions to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Acting Health minister Victor Costache has said on Wednesday, during the hearings in the specialized parliamentary committees, that next week 25 tons of disinfectant and hundreds and thousands of gloves and protective suits will arrive in Romania.

Romania has confirmed a highly pathogenic bird flu outbreak at a poultry farm in Letea, the southeastern county of Tulcea, the European Commission said in a press release Tuesday.
