Two Romanians died in Israel. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs states that the two people had dual Israeli-Romanian citizenship.

About 19.000 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and over 13.600 means of transport have passed through border points in the last 24 hours.

President Klaus Iohannis has told "with sadness" to the Romanians abroad not to come home this year for holidays: "Romanians abroad are dear to us. We want to see them, we would like to be together, but this year, for these holidays, it is impossible".

Six Romanians aboard the Diamond Princess cruise ship, who have expressed their wish to return to the country, will arrive on Friday night in Berlin, from where they will be taken by a Ministry of Defence's aircraft and brought to Bucharest.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) has announced on Thursday that 17 Romanian citizens are aboard the cruise ship which is in quarantine in Japan.
