Thus, the Appeals Court rejected the exception of inadmissibility raised by the ministry in the trial and ruled in favor of magistrates, which must be paid salary rights of RON1,453,475 within one day from the court ruling.

Supreme Court magistrates on Friday won a new trial against the ministry, which entitles them to salary rights of RON1,453,475.

However, the ruling can be challenged by the ministry or the Court of Accounts within 15 days.

The Appeals Court also obliged the ministry to pay the 50% mental distress bonus to the staff with the National School of Court Clerks (SNG) and the National Institute of Magistrates (INM), within one day from the court ruling.

Romania’s legal system employees have lately filed legal action against several state institutions over non-payment of 50% salary bonuses and won all trials.
