The people arrested allegedly sent several stolen items back to Romania. Law enforcers suspect the people arrested committed 12 burglaries, according to a press release issued by Spanish police.
Investigations were started in October, when the Romanian Embassy informed the police regarding the presence in the area of a Romanian crime group, which allegedly committed other burglaries as well in Benalmadena, Fuengirola and Mijas.
The arrests took place when three of the group members were caught immediately after the burglary of two homes.
