Iliescu left before the Social Democratic Party’s national standing office meeting was over and resumed accusations regarding the decision of the Government to assume responsibility for the three packs of laws in the Parliament.
Iliescu said he cannot find a reasonable explanation for the prime minister’s presenting himself before the Parliament and dismissed this procedure as a mere whim.
Iliescu added both the leaders of the Social Democratic Party and the social democrat ministers have no idea what the final draft laws stipulate.
Asked whether he had read the laws for which the Government will assume responsibility, Iliescu said he was unable to because the prime minister was still working on them Monday night.
The Government will assume responsibility before the Parliament on Tuesday for three packs of laws on education, unitary wage law and reorganization of public authorities and institutions.
The Executive accepted about 120 amendments to the three draft laws, which is less than 5% of the amendments proposed.
