Infections with the new coronavirus exceed 4.000 in Romania

Authorities announced until Monday on the Romanian territory 4.057 cases of persons infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus) have been confirmed.

Of the positively confirmed persons, 406 were declared cured and discharged.

Since the last information sent by the Strategic Communication Group, 193 other cases of illness have been registered.

Most cases are in Suceava – 1.228, Bucharest – 566, Neamţ – 160 and Arad – 157.

At intensive care units (ATI), at this moment, 179 patients are hospitalized.

At the same time, up to 157 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection, admitted to hospitals in Dolj, Bucharest, Iaşi, Suceava, Arad, Bacău, Timiş, Cluj, Neamţ, Hunedoara, Constanţa, Satu Mare, Sibiu, Ialomiţa, Bistriţa-Năsăud, Covasna, Dâmboviţa, Vrancea, Galaţi, Caraş-Severin, Mureş, Giurgiu, Bihor and Mehedinţi died.
