Romanian Football Club Rapid Officials Quit Amid Financial Problems

The members of the board of directors of football club Rapid Bucharest resigned Tuesday, citing financial problems at the football club, FC Rapid board member Alexandru Bunea said Tuesday.

Constantin Zotta said he stepped down from his position of FC Rapid general manager and board member, adding this was not the first time he had considered submitting his resignation.
 
Zotta also said this is not easy for him and stressed that Rapid would always be a true experience in his life.
 
FC Rapid’s board chairman, Constantin Toma, could not be reached for comments.
 
FC Rapid owner Fathi Taher appointed all board members in the spring of 2008.
