Franks met Saturday with Prime Minister Emil Boc for a last discussion before the end of the current IMF, European Commission and World Bank evaluation mission.
The IMF official said Romania’s economy is in a much better state than three years ago and is able to not only grow, but grow sustainably, coping with any potential disruption.
The mission is in Romania until August 1 to assess the country’s half-year results under a precautionary stand-by loan agreement.
