"I voted for those MEPs that would represent the Hungarian community in Romania and, at the same time, the interests of all Romanian citizens. I believe that our representation in Brussels will be of utmost importance in the upcoming period. I voted for a united Europe, a Europe of all values that are important to us, I voted for European solidarity, for the solidarity of Romanian citizens and the solidarity of ethnic Hungarians in Romania,” Marko said, adding he also voted for a Europe that would understand, respect and impose minorities’ rights.
Asked about his expectations regarding voter turnout, Marko called on ethnic Hungarians and Romanians alike to cast their votes.
