Romania’s Hungarian minority party leader, senator Marko Bela, said Sunday morning after he cast his ballot in the European Parliament election, that he voted for “a Europe that would impose minorities’ rights”.

Romania’s ruling liberals and opposition social democrats roughly reached an agreement on the promotion of the uninominal voting system with one round of elections and proportional representation in parliament, but the Hungarian minority party insists to keep additional lists.
