Romania’s National Integrity Agency is looking into the wealth and interest statements of several senators who are allegedly incompatible with public office after they received derogations from the Senate’s committee for legal matters, allowing them to fill management positions in public institution

Romania’s National Integrity Agency said Mircea Dinescu, a member in the National Council Investigating Security’s Archives (CNSAS), has been incompatible with this position since 2006, as he was both a member in the Council and the manager of a commercial company.

The vice president of the Bucharest branch of the Romanian National Liberal Party, Antonel Tanase, stated that the mayor of Bucharest District 6, Cristian Poteras, is incompatible with his position, since he is the manager of a firm.
