The two Romanians charged with rape in Italy, Isztoika Loyos Alexandru, 20, and Karol Racz, 36, are from romania’s central county of Brasov, local police said.

According to the Brasov police inspectorate spokesman Liviu Naghi, Karol Racs has a criminal record and has served prison time for theft. Naghi added the men left for Italy in summer last year. He also said more information on the two would be available later.
 
Italian authorities arrested Tuesday evening two suspects of Romanian citizenship who raped a teenage girl in the Caffarella Park in Rome, and one of them confessed to having committed the rape, Correre della Sera reported in its online edition.
 
Loyos was found in an illegal camp in Rome and was arrested on Tuesday evening by the Primavalle police, and confessed the crime later in the night. The other suspect, Racz, was found later in Livorno.
 
The girl was raped Saturday, in a park in Rome, by two immigrants, and the local authorities suspected Eastern-European Romas. The girl was raped, and her boyfriend was beaten up. The rapists took the money the two had and their mobile phones.
 
According to Italian newspaper "ll messaggero", Karol Racz might also be involved in the rape of a 40 year-old woman in Quartaccio, in January.
Isztoika Loyos Alexandru confessed to the rape and said Karol Racz was his accomplice. He was also recognized by the victim and her boyfriend.
