Employers In Romania To File Single Online Tax Form As Of 2011

Companies will be able, starting next year, to pay social security contributions and income taxes through a single statement, submitted online to the National Fiscal Administration Agency (ANAF), Romanian Prime Minister Emil Boc announced Wednesday.

Boc said that, at the moment, employers must file five tax forms: two for ANAF and three for contributions to the health insurance, unemployment and pension systems.

„Starting with next year, companies will fill out a single statement on social security contributions and income tax, to be filed with ANAF, and the Ministry of Finance will forward all the necessary data to the healthcare, unemployment and pension systems,” Boc said.

The prime minister added the first such statement, on taxes for the month of January, will need to be filed by February 25, 2011.
